Interview with Michael Sandler
Founder of Inspire Nation
Podcast Talk Show
SHAUMBRA MAGAZINE: What caused you to create the Inspire Nation YouTube channel?
MICHAEL SANDLER: Ehhh … crickets! My wife and I had been wiped out on Maui. She was sick with mold toxicity poisoning. I had had my second near-death experience and a second accident while I was healing. And so, we were catapulted off of Maui from a dream home to my wife’s childhood bedroom, an eight by ten room with two twin mattresses on the floor. And there I was, asking Spirit what I was supposed to do, and I just started doing automatic writing. That was very helpful. I was also taking walks on a feeder highway to New York City, and on one side of the road was the highway, on the other side were trees with crickets. In addition to the automatic writing, I spoke with the crickets and that’s where I heard, “You know, you really loved when you were on Maui interviewing people for a mindful running program. You love doing interviews, so you get to start a show.” I wondered “Well, what is this show about?” and Inspire Nation came from there. So, automatic writing and the crickets.
SM: That’s so great! What is the purpose of your show? And who is your audience?
MICHAEL: The purpose of the show, I’ve always said it’s about raising people’s vibration, elevating consciousness, shifting humanity. On a more functional level, it’s waking people up to who and what they are and their connection to Spirit, their connection to the divine, and that they are the divine. The world right now will knock you down and tell you why you must be afraid and that everything is going to hell in a handbasket. The world will also tell you that you are not special, that you are less than – whatever that means – and our show is here to give you the truth, the alternate reality of just how amazing and great you truly are.
Our audience is people who have woken up to the fact that there is something more out there. We can call these people empaths or extra sensitive. I call them mystics in latency. It’s those who have taken a step down the path or are irritated by the energy around them going, “There’s got to be something more,” and they find their way to our show.
It has been a slightly older and slightly more female demographic. That has been changing lately as the world is experiencing what I call “drunk tree syndrome.” Which means that the alcoholic will never change until either they’ve lost their partner, or they hit a tree. Humanity right now is collectively hitting the tree because we haven’t changed. That’s drunk tree syndrome, and it’s not a bad thing, even though it appears horrific on the surface. It is the time where we’re all waking up, at least that we’ve got to do things differently.
SM: How has your audience grown over the years?
MICHAEL: When it started out in 2015, we were so excited when we got to 100, then 1,000. Now, at this point our audience is about half a million. How does it get any better than this?! I mean, we’ve got thousands of people in classes worldwide, hundreds of thousands watching our shows, and our biggest shows have over a million. So, it’s quite special, always morphing and changing as we grow and as the world is constantly amoeba-ing to this new reality.
SM: You have some very interesting guests on your show. How do you select them?
MICHAEL: It’s an alchemy based on a few key considerations. One, is the guests need to have passion. They need to both excitement and interest in their topic and something that will rub off on our audience. Because if it’s somebody who’s speaks like this (dull, drone-like voice) and wants to talk about equanimity, there’s nowhere I could go with them! They must be somebody who is shifting humanity, who is raising consciousness. And it has to be something that I personally am excited about.
SM: You interviewed Geoffrey Hoppe recently. How did that go?
MICHAEL: Geoff is a mountain. It was like speaking with a mountain. He is centered. He is grounded. He has very important messages to share. He shares a little bit of a trickster coyote energy of the universe, and that’s when you know somebody is very plugged in. But he is not the – “Oh, let’s talk about spirituality up here! We’re all fine. We’re trying to be outside of our bodies!” He’s very, very grounded.
SM: How did you come across Crimson Circle?
MICHAEL: It was through Mike Dooley, who is a dear, dear friend. He said, “I had a course on Awakening a year or two ago, and Geoffrey Hoppe was one of my favorites. You’ve got to interview him.” And where Mike Dooley says yes, I go.
SM: Usually, Geoff doesn’t like to channel Adamus on the first interview with someone. But he says you talked him into it. How did that go?
MICHAEL: In this lifetime I have never met Adamus before, but according to him I was apparently a disciple of his in many past lifetimes. So that was fascinating. I am very intuitive, and I plug in before each show, and I had to ask for Adamus to be on! And it was brilliant. It flowed perfectly. And according to both Adamus and Geoff afterwards, it was meant to be. So, I loved the experience. I remember feeling, “Why do I want to call you Master? This is weird!” It was very, very cool, and very fun. And I know who I am and what I am, so hearing special words from Adamus just reaffirms where I am on my path.
SM: What are some of the most important things you’ve learned from your guests?
MICHAEL: That is an exceptionally hard question to answer, because I’ve had over 2,000 guests and during an interview I am just in the stream of consciousness. I’m present with a guest and have no idea what they said a minute ago, because I’m focused on what they’re saying now. So, the best thing I can do is share some “Michaelisms” from a new book we’re working on.
SM: Perfect.
MICHAEL: The one that hasn’t made it into the book yet is “Language is not my first language.” This is something I discuss with my wife all the time, particularly because I got bopped in the head a couple of years ago by a car. So, when I’m speaking like this with you, I find words easily. When I’m not in this state, I have real trouble finding words. A lot of stuff is gibberish. Everything is about the energy, about the frequency that we bring. Everything is about what we are doing to play with, move with, alchemize the energies that are all around us. So, if we understand that and don’t get caught up in the world and the trauma or drama going on around us, we can shift our energy and then project out new and a higher-level energy into the universe. So that’s one key thing.
Another expression is: “How does it get any better than this?” It means that no matter what is going on in your life, no matter what has just taken place, it’s all perfect. It’s all planned. It’s all good. It’s all God. It’s all here to serve you. And that means, of course – the line that’s totally cliché and true at the same time – “Everything is happening through you and for you, not to you.” It’s all here to serve you. You are the divine. You are love. You are the magnificent. You are the creator. You are not the whole of the creator, but in this holographic universe, you have all of the creator and all of the universe, and the universe is within you. What do we want to project into this reality? Let’s rock this reality with everything we’ve got.
“Gentle is the new strong.” Or as I heard from a guest yesterday, “Sensitivity is your superpower.” Now, while I say Geoffrey is a mountain, I’m not saying he’s trying to conquer the place. The mountain doesn’t need to conquer anything. We do not need to fight, to drive, to push. It is balance. It is not going to back to the time of the divine feminine. The divine feminine is past. The divine masculine, thank God, is over! This is a time of a very balanced approach. So “sensitive is the new strong” means we feel the energies. We go into the heart. We use these together. What a magnificent tool. But we do not try to drive and strive with this.
And “We put our oxygen mask on first.” We don’t try to change the outer world and go grab our picket thing and go on the streets when we haven’t worked on what’s going on inside. This is where the biggest difference is going to come from, which means now is the time of shadow work, of leaning into all of the gunk and junk that’s beneath the surface, that is now coming back up in order to be healed. It’s kind of a “holy crap” moment, and it’s here to serve you.
SM: What message would you like to give to our Shaumbra audience?
MICHAEL: You are love. You are magnificent. You are divine, and you are perfect just as you are. Let’s use some strong language. You don’t need to change a damn thing. Lean into yourself. Lean into life. Lean into all of it and love yourself up and hug yourself up with everything you’ve got. And how does it get to be better than this? How does it get any better than this? That’s what I would say.
SM: Beautiful. Perfect. Thank you.
MICHAEL: You’re most welcome.
