Make Your Digital Life Easier!

If you’re tired of reading, you can HEAR our website!
We all take in information differently. Some of us love to read, others prefer to listen, and some need the words to be larger or have higher contrast to better understand what we see on a webpage. Thankfully, browsers like Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox have built-in tools that can enhance the way we experience content, including the Crimson Circle website.
And you don’t even need special software or technical skills! It’s simply about knowing what works best for you and how technology can make things easier.
Prefer Listening? Try Reading Aloud Tools
It’s okay to need your information to arrive in a certain way. Whether you prefer to listen, read with more space, soften the brightness, or let go of visual noise, these tools are here to support you.
For more information on how to use these features on your mobile device, we invite you to visit the following support pages for each browser:
Safari: Right-click (or tap and hold) on selected text and choose “Speech,” then “Start speaking.”
For iPhone and iPad, it’s recommended to enable “Spoken Content” in System Settings → Accessibility, before using this feature.

Microsoft Edge: Has a “Read Aloud” feature built right into the browser. Just click the three dots … at the top and choose Read Aloud, or find it on the toolbar. You can then change the pace and the voice the browser uses.

Google Chrome: While Chrome doesn’t come with this by default, there are excellent free extensions you can add from the Chrome Web Store.
Firefox: Select Reader Mode by navigating to a page with content (e.g. not the home page), click on the page icon on the top bar, then click on the headphone icon.

Need Less Visual Clutter? Use Reader Mode
Reader Mode strips away menus, ads, buttons, and distractions, leaving just the pure content text and images.
Safari: Click the page icon in the address bar and choose “Show Reader.”

Edge: Click the circle with the three dots right beside the URL bar and choose “Enter Immersive Reader.”
Chrome: Go to the top, and to the right of the address bar, click on “Reader Mode.”

Firefox: Go to the top, and to the right of the address bar, click on the page icon.
Want Bigger Text, Contrast, or Different Fonts? Accessibility Settings Can Help
Sometimes it’s not about listening, but about seeing differently.
Safari: Using Read Mode, you can adjust the screen color and brightness for easier reading.

Edge’s Immersive Reader: Lets you change text size, spacing, fonts, even background color, to ease strain on your eyes.

Chrome: Use built-in zoom, or install extensions for gentle dark mode, or add color gradients to guide the eye.
Firefox: You will find similar controls when using Reader Mode. You can choose from font size and style (click the Aa icon), and backgrounds (click on the paint brush icon).

On any browser, press Ctrl + (Windows) or Command + (Mac) to zoom in, which enlarges the text. Ctrl – (Windows) or Command – (Mac) zooms out, making the text smaller.
