In Session 6, Jami, a young man from the year 2044, shares what life is like just twenty years into humanity’s future. Instead of prophecy, warning, or spectacle, his message is full of hope and promise, setting the tone for Shaumbra ever since!
Jami describes the next few years (until about 2032) as a period of intense duality and “organized chaos,” driven by rapid technological change, collapsing systems, and humanity’s growing pains. Yet from his vantage point, instead of leading to destruction and failure, this upheaval becomes the catalyst for what he simply calls The Shift — a subtle but profound change in human consciousness. According to Jami, the shift happened because of three converging factors: increasing light on the planet, rapidly evolving technology, and the inherent goodness of humans themselves.
One of the most reassuring aspects of Jami’s message is his view of technology. Rather than portraying AI and advanced computing as threats, he describes them as liberating tools that ultimately broke old power structures and returned creativity, freedom, and abundance to everyday people. In his world, technology serves humanity quietly and efficiently, freeing humans from survival-based labor and allowing life to center around exploration, service, creativity, and deep connection among humans and with other realms of existence.
